Maurice Marshal MBE

The Maurice Marshal Trust was established in 2010 in memory of the late Maurice Marshal MBE who was for many years the Chief Electrician at Exeter’s Northcott Theatre. For over 40 years his enthusiasm and dedication to providing technical training gave many people the opportunity they needed to start their careers.

"Creating an opportunity for someone to get on the technical theatre career ladder who otherwise might struggle to enter the industry."

Sam Garner-Gibbons, Chichester Festival Theatre

"Learning at somewhere like CFT was what I wanted to do when I left college. I always wanted to learn on the job and this traineeship was a great way to do so."

Nathanael Penhallow, Chichester

"We are investing in someone with demonstrable enthusiasm but not the experience yet- growing a potential future employee with the actual skills we and the industry require."
